Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Exam Preparation Course
This on-demand course helps psychiatry residents and practicing psychiatrists prepare for their respective American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN ) board exams and Maintenance of Certification exams. It contains more than 45 chapterized sessions on key topics in neurology and psychiatry.
Clinical Skills Verification
Take advantage of a personal learning experience within the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry and receive formative feedback, strengthen interviewing skills, and demonstrate clinical competency for American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) certification.
We produce a series of educational projects for patients and the general public, including live events and online programs on important mental health topics such as shared decision-making, veterans health, schizophrenia, depression and more.

The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry provides formalized, institutional-level clinical oversight to hospitals, inpatient psychiatry units and outpatient departments of all sizes. This consultation includes in-person and telemedicine guidance that helps raise standards of care, improve clinical outcomes and develop workforce quality.
We collaborate with subject matter experts to translate their expertise into printed books and Ebooks, such as The Massachusetts General Hospital Psychiatry Update & Board Preparation, 3rd Edition. This 800-page book is available in print format and accessible Kindle, Nook and iPad on any smartphone or tablet.
Education Service Agreements
Expert clinician-researchers from the Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Psychiatry are available to provide custom, hands-on, private training for international, commercial and private companies. These events often include hospital tours, patient panels and Q&A sessions.
Collaborative Education Development
In many cases we work hand-in-hand with like-minded organizations to develop unique education designed to meet specific needs. One example is our national Theater of War: Soldiers and Citizens Tour (towtour.org). This tour included 50 events across the country and a dynamic mobile app. The tour was generously funded by Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation and created with our partners Outside the Wire, LLC; National Council for Behavioral Health; and Points of Light.
