The Essentials of Schizophrenia course will cover clinically relevant, high-yield information about schizophrenia across the entire course of illness. Specific lectures will include: The Prodrome: Can We Prevent Schizophrenia?, First Episode Schizophrenia, Psychopharmacological Treatment of Schizophrenia, and the Role of Psychosocial Treatment in Schizophrenia. By the end of the course, registrants will understand how to recognize and treat schizophrenia, using both psychopharmacology and psychosocial treatments, across the course of the illness.

The course includes an array of resources, videos, and other materials to enhance the learning experience. All content and assignments can be completed at any time. Weekly call-in times allow faculty to hear and respond to questions directly, and an interactive discussion board lets participants post questions and interact with peers from across the United States and around the world. Plus, the course is accessible via desktop, laptop, smartphone or tablet.

Course materials are available beginning on May 5, 2025, and all online coursework must be completed by June 16, 2025.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be issued for cancellation requests made during the first week of the course, but an administrative fee of $25.00 will be deducted from your refund. Cancellation requests made during the second week will receive credit toward a future offering of the same course. No refunds or credits will be granted after May 19, 2025.
