Anne Emmerich serves as Associate Director of the MGH Department of Psychiatry Center for Diversity. She is a staff psychiatrist in the Division of Primary Care Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital where she is a psychopharmacology and psychotherapy supervisor for residents in the MGH-McLean Psychiatry Residency Training Program. As a member of the faculty of Harvard Medical School, her academic work focuses on the provision of culturally sensitive healthcare for diverse patient populations and cross cultural communication. She is also the Director of EHR (electronic health record) training for the MGH Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Emmerich completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and holds a Masters Degree in Microbiology from the Boston University Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences. She completed residency training in Adult Psychiatry at the Massachusetts General Hospital where she was Chief Resident of Acute Psychiatric Services.
