Biography

Dr. Anthony Sossong is a psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and on faculty at Harvard Medical School. He is the Associate Director for the MGH Psychiatry Academy, and also serves as Associate Director for Technology at The Clay Center for Young Healthy Minds.

Dr. Sossong completed internship in Pediatrics, residency in Psychiatry, and subspecialty fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in the MGH-McLean Combined Child and Adult Psychiatry Program. He earned his M.D. from University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society. He earned his M.S. from UC Berkeley, where he pursued study in cognitive neuroscience, conducting neuroimaging research at UC Berkeley Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute, UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL).

Prior to his medical training, Dr. Sossong worked in Silicon Valley as a software engineer, where he founded and operated a company that provided software development and maintenance of high-volume, business-critical, e-commerce web applications to over 30 high-profile companies. He is frequently sought out for his expertise in healthcare technology, and has provided consultation services to technology startups, medical clinics and hospitals, regional healthcare organizations, and the U.S. Military.
