Biography

The Home Base Program is pleased to announce Bill Davidson has joined us as the new Director of Veteran Outreach. Davidson is a current Brigade Command Sergeant Major with the Massachusetts Army National Guard (MAARNG). Prior to joining Home Base, CSM Davidson was the Director of the Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program for the MAARNG. He deployed to Afghanistan/Pakistan/and Uzbekistan in 2002-2003 as the First Sergeant of a Military Police (MP) Unit. In 2011-2012 CSM Davidson deployed to Kabul Afghanistan, where he was the Task Force Command Sergeant Major and the senior enlisted advisor for a multi-national security force of 3,000 personnel, providing security and support for 11 U.S. installations, and 10,000 coalition members conducting counterinsurgency operations, humanitarian assistance and area support missions. His numerous awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Commendation Medal, and the Army Commendation Medal. CSM Davidson was also awarded the Marechausse Medal (Bronze) from the MP Regiment. He is a retired Manchester-by-the Sea, MA Police officer, with over 25 years of loyal and dedicated service to the community. CSM Davidson holds a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration from Western New England College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Curry College.
