Ilana Braun, MD is chief of the Division of Adult Psychosocial Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA. Clinically, she works closely with the Center for Melanoma Oncology and the Gynecologic Oncology Program. She maintains a deep commitment to ensuring that mental health symptoms—whether they predate cancer or occur in its context—do not threaten the integrity of cancer. Her research focuses of physical symptoms with psychological dimensions and, more recently, the role medical marijuana plays in oncology.
