I am a Registered Dietitian with more than 15 years of experience in the field, including more than a decade practicing as a Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition at MGH as a Senior Clinical Dietitian. I have also been lucky to work with athletes of all abilities for the past 10 years to maximize nutrition for performance. At MGH I have been fortunate to work with many people and their loved ones undertaking the scary world of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. My pragmatic and individualized approach to nutrition has helped many thrive through the challenges of treatment and the often-confusing time after treatments are complete. At my core, I’m passionate about helping people feel better through eating healthy food and movement. I love making people see the good in food.
After competing as a collegiate division I athlete, I spent most of my first year after college not moving during a busy and rigorous year as a dietetic intern at MGH. Feeling the need to move my body again, I found the comradery of running with a group and made my way to completing 13 marathons including 8 Boston Marathons, countless races and dabbling in the ultra-distance. All that running has always brought me back to my yoga mat where I can slow way down, but continue to strengthen my body and mind.
As a result of working with so many people over the years, I have experience in diabetes, IBS/IBD, dyslipidemia, orthorexia and disordered eating, and have spoken to a number of support groups.
As the mother of 2 boys, I understand feeling like there isn’t enough time to make all the food, do all the work, get in all the movement, get all the sleep. Every. Day. But – I can help coach and motivate you to make it work!
