This online course helps you understand and identify clinical features of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). It is led by renowned OCD expert and Harvard Medical School Professor Sabine Wilhelm, PhD. This course focuses on how to use effective assessment and treatment strategies for OCD in your practice.

OCD is the fourth most common mental illness. Patients often report high functional impairment and poor quality of life. OCD can be a challenge to properly diagnose. Other conditions present in similar ways, such as impulse control disorders. In order to help patients find wellness, it is essential to accurately differentiate OCD.

These skills are critical across all professions. Psychiatrists, primary care physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other frontline mental health professionals can benefit from taking this course. During this course, our faculty provide guidance on how to:

  • Develop a personalized cognitive behavioral model for patients with OCD based upon a comprehensive assessment.
  • Apply cognitive-, behavioral-, and acceptance-based skills to treat the different OCD symptom subtypes.
  • Manage treatment interfering behaviors (such as homework noncompliance).

The course includes an array of role-play videos that illustrate techniques and uses self-assessments to measure and enhance your skills. You can also participate in live weekly call-in times and moderated discussion boards. This allows our faculty to provide direct feedback on all your clinical questions. All course content is 100% mobile-friendly and on-demand. You can complete assignments whenever and wherever your schedule allows!

Course materials are available beginning June 3, 2024 and all course work must be completed by July15, 2024

Cancellation Policy

Refunds will be issued for cancellation requests made during the first week of the course, but an administrative fee of $25.00 will be deducted from your refund.  Cancellation requests made during the second week will receive a credit toward a future offering of the same course.  No refunds or credits will be granted after June 17, 2024.
