This five-part course focuses on CBT for post-traumatic stress disorder. The course begins with an overview and introduction to four “patients” who are then followed in additional sections. Each patient highlights a core component of CBT for trauma. The first section focuses on behavioral skills focusing on imaginal exposure for post-traumatic stress disorder. The second section focuses on further behavioral interventions including in vivo and interoceptive exposure. Next, we focus on cognitive restructuring skills for trauma. Finally, we focus on emotion regulation skills that can be used in trauma-informed work. Throughout each section, expert clinicians will demonstrate, via role-plays, the application of these skills.
Course materials are available beginning November 4, 2024, and all coursework must be completed by December 30, 2024.
